Below are descriptions of all of the service groups. Once you have decided which group you would like to join, click one of the circles below to sign up for a group 

Senior Citizens

By working with local organizations and charities, this service group will center their volunteering around senior citizens. Most of this group's efforts will go towards volunteering as opposed to fundraising but there are still many possibilities available and the group can be creative with what they would like to do.

 

 

Make Skyline Pretty

This service group will focus their volunteering hours on painting the classrooms at Skyline. They will have to organize the sign up for teachers and the timing for when to paint. 

 

 

Elementary Schools

Any volunteering opportunities that are offered by the local elementary schools will go directly to this group. They will most likely be asked to help with various events that the schools put on such as the Wines County Fair. 

 

 

Middle Schools

This service groups is similar to the elementary group but applies to any events that are done at the middle schools. Helping with middle school graduations would be an example of an event that you might be a part of. 

 

 

Special Needs

Service in this group will focus on helping out kids with special needs or working with organizations that support those in the community with special needs.

 

 

The Environment

This group will organize projects to enhance our local environment. This may include planting flowers, cleaning up the surrounding area, or any other creative ideas that the group may think of. 

 

 

Tutoring

The tutoring service group will take on any tutoring requests from surrounding schools. They could also create their own tutoring groups for various core subjects, ap tests, or standardized tests.  

 

 

Helping the hungry and/or homeless

With the help of local organizations, this group will assist the hungry and homeless through volunteer work and fundraising.

 

 

Animals

Help out in animal shelters or organize different activities which would support local animals in need. 

 

General Charities

 

Underclassmen Mentoring

Tutor and mentor Skyline underclassmen so that they feel more comfortable at our school. Organize information sessions or booklets with tips on how to survive high school.

 

Art

Use art in a method of your choice to help or enhance the community. 

 

Sports

Veterans

Habitat for Humanity

Children’s Hospital

Literacy

Technology

 

Skyline Centered

Students in this group will focus their volunteer work on any opportunities presented at Skyline. 

 

Theater

 

Other

If there is already a group that you belong to that volunteers in the same way that service groups do, that can be your service group. E.g. Robotics, Interact Club,
